A
Message To Christians
Dear
Christian Friend,
It is
a privilege to share with you my thoughts with you as they relate to
emotional wellbeing in the hearts of Christians. It is God's will
that we experience perfect peace, and that we are completely set
free from any form of anxiety or fear in our lives. If this gift of
peace has been alluding you, then there is something wrong with your
belief system. Somehow the enemy of your soul is tripping you up,
and it is my hope and prayer that God will use this website to show
you where the necessary adjustments need to be made so your faith
can once again grow and cause you to become all that God wants you
to be. A strong faith is the only thing that will produce a feeling
of victory in your heart, and it is this feeling of victory or
confidence that will attract other people into the kingdom of God.
Jesus made an amazing statement one day after triumphing over the
devil's temptations after a 40 day fast in the wilderness. This is
how Luke Chapter 4 records it:
14Jesus
returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news
about him spread through the whole countryside. 15He
taught in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.
16He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and
on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom.
And he stood up to read. 17The scroll of the prophet
Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it
is written:
18"The
Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to release the oppressed,
19to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."[5]
20Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the
attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were
fastened on him, 21and he began by saying to them, "Today
this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."
22All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious
words that came from his lips. "Isn't this Joseph's son?" they
asked.
My
dear Christian friend, this is a picture of every believer who
claims to know Christ. We are to continue to carry out the ministry
that Jesus started 2000 years ago. We are to set the captives free
with the Good News of the Gospel. But before we can set others free,
we must first set ourselves free. And how is this done? By
appropriating the promises of God's Word in every area of our lives
until we are completely happy and at peace. It is God's will that we
each live happy, successful lives, bringing glory and honor to God
so others will see the hand of God in our lives and will want the
gift of peace and happiness in this life and eternal life with God
in the next life. How does your life measure up with this standard?
Are you set free? Do you have the happiness and peace that God wants
for you? If not, do not waste any time. Be diligent about applying
God's promises to your life until your life is rich and full, and it
becomes a beacon of hope to a world steeped in problems. "Let your
life so shine among men!" And be a blessing everywhere you go!
Praise God!
Take care,
Joseph
