Anxiety is easily disarmed with faith. However, it is possible to have anxiety and not know it. The following are a few possible signs indicating anxiety may be affecting your life. 1) Do you have fears? 2) Are you a person who is fidgety (with their hands, feet, cracking joints, etc.). 3) Do you smoke or take illegal drugs or prescription medication to help calm you down? 4) Do you sweat easily? or have sweaty hands? 5) Do you experience paranoia? 6) Are you impulsive in decision making? If is looks good or feels right at the moment, you charge for it with full force, leaving off certain other responsibilities to your detriment? 7) Are you constantly in a hurry? Do you drive fast or erratically? 8) Do you try and do too much in too little time? Do you tend to just try too hard? 9) Do you have any bad habits, habits you have difficulty controlling in your own natural strength? 10) Do you become obsessive when deeply engaged in doing something you enjoy, blocking out anything that may take your focus away from what you are doing? 11) Do you ruminate (pre-imagine) what a future event may be like, and pre-plan possible reactions should events turn a certain way? This is sometimes referred to as Anticipatory Anxiety. 12) Do you speak fast, hesitantly, or stutter? Do you lack a natural ability to be uninhibited and free flowing with your oral communications? 13) Do you have a difficult time getting sound sleep? 14) Do you lack self-confidence? Are you self-conscious? 15) Do you frequently have bouts of anger? (Actually, any time you become angry, you have forfeited your peace of mind by judging the other person as being wrong. The person may well have harmed you, but by you judging them and becoming angry with them, you automatically make their problem, your problem. Rarely is honest anger ever needed. 16) Do you harbour resentment, guilt or self-pity? 17) Do you often ruminate of how things might have been, had you.... Do you think that you have exhausted good fortune in your life, that you had opportunities but mistakenly passed them by? 18) Do you feel God may have at one time been interested in helping you, but is now working against you? 19) Do you feel you could never achieve the happiness and confidence you once had, or do you feel you never have been truly happy, and don't expect things to change anytime soon? 20) Do you often get 'buyers remorse', or often second-guess yourself after making decisions. 21) Do you feel you are weak in the area of decision-making? 22) Are you more stubborn than open-minded? 23) Do you hate to be wrong, or to lose in a competition?
